  • Log onto the phone first by pressing the Services button and then Select 1 Extension Mobility Enter the UserID/Agent# your were assigned and the PIN and press Submit.

    When answering phones routed through the Cisco Agent Desktop:

    Calls to DNIS 33000 should be answered:

    "Aloha, and thank you for calling the Polynesian Cultural Center, how may I direct your call?"

    Calls to DNIS 53211 should be answered:

    "Aloha, and thank you for calling BYU–Hawaii, how may I direct your call?"

    • When the caller responds with a name, department or service, say, "One moment please," if the caller replies with a "thank you" be sure to reply with "My pleasure!"
    • Using BOC's Address Book, search for the requested name, department, or service. When found, double click on the entry which will transfer the call
    • If not found in BOC, ask for more information regarding the purpose of the call saying, "I'm sorry, I'm having trouble locating that number for you."
      • What department does this person work in?
      • What type of service are you looking for?
      • What do you need help with?

      When you find the number seems correct say, "Thank you for waiting, I'll transfer your call now."

    • If the caller asks a question -- using the online calendar, directory, or other resources, answer the question as best as you can.

    At the end of each conversation, always ask:"Is there anything else I can help you with?"

    Calls to DNIS 53921 should be answered:

    "Aloha, and thank you for calling the BYU-Hawaii Helpdesk! This is (your name) how may I assist you?"

  • Most system logins are dependent upon the existence of a CES Net ID which is created at BYU Provo.

    Students

    Once they have been accepted to BYU-Hawaii, and have been matriculated, will be able to log in to myBYUH.

    Faculty and Staff

    Either use a pre-existing CES Net ID they used as a student or they will be instructed to create one during employee orientation.

    The same NetID and password are used for the following services:

    Users may have trouble logging in the following services that are affected by their AD or active directory password.

  • Important Notice: Client Services Hardware Shop does equipment repair (computer, printer, etc) on BYU-Hawaii campus and church-owned equipment only.

    On-Warranty Campus Repairs Hardware Shop is a Certified Dell, Lenovo, and HP Service Centers. Our technicians are certified by Dell, Lenovo, and HP to service campus computers and printers. Depending on the availability of the part needed to service your computer, please allow us 1-3 business days. We have a limited support for Apple computers. If we are unable to repair your equipment, we contact a third party company to service your computer. Please allow this kind of service to 1-2 weeks. This service repair is free of charge as long as your equipment is still under warranty. or computer hardware issues, please contact your CSR or you may call CSR Hardware Shop at 808-675-3686. Repairs are made between 8 am and 5 pm.

    Out-Of-Warranty Out-of-warranty equipments are charged parts and labor. The labor rate is $75 per hour with a minimum billing of 1 hour labor on all orders. Please allow this kind of service 1-2 weeks to repair and obtain parts.

    Personal Computers Client Services DOES NOT offer service repair on personal computers. Please contact your equipment manufacturer for technical support.
