What To Expect on Go-Live day
RingCentral Go-Live: Wednesday, April 23
We are excited to announce that RingCentral will officially go live on Wednesday, April 23. Your campus phone number has now been successfully ported to the RingCentral network between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM PST and is fully active and ready for use. Please note that your previous Cisco phone service is no longer operational.
Below is a detailed overview of the transition process:
Before Port Day
- You will receive notifications from RingCentral confirming the scheduled port date.
- You may be asked to verify information with your current carrier. If additional steps are required, RingCentral will contact you directly.
On Port Day
- Your number will be transferred to RingCentral’s network between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM PST.
- If you are currently logged into the RingCentral app, please log out and log back in to refresh the system. Your updated extension should now appear.
- Common area phones will automatically reboot during the transition.
- If you are using call forwarding to a temporary RingCentral number, the system will allow current calls to finish before rerouting to your permanent RingCentral line.
- Your previous phone service will remain active until the transition is fully completed.
After Port Day
- Your RingCentral service will be fully functional and operating with your ported number.
- Cisco phones will no longer function, and IT Computer Support Representatives will begin collecting them starting Thursday, April 24.
